Chicago Design Through the Decades
November 18–December 30, 2022 (full run) and June 11–15, 2022 (popup/advance screening coinciding with NeoCon) | Art on theMart, Chicago | Exhibition concept and creative direction | Team collaboration | Curated by Cynthia Noble

Chicago Design Through the Decades is a swift, exciting journey through the history of Chicago design spanning the last one hundred years. The project is based on the vast collection of the Chicago Design Archive (CDA), the premiere and permanent online record of Chicago design, currently holding over 3200 examples of work by over 1100 Chicago designers. It was exhibited through two screenings in 2022 at Art on theMart, which features an outdoor public platform using 34 projectors and the largest projection viewing area in the world — 2.5 acres (approximately two football fields) — on the side of a massive and architecturally notable building situated along the Chicago River in downtown Chicago.
